Rebecca Strauss founded RCP more than 25 years ago and is its Music Director.  She has vast experience within the events industry and extensive knowledge of venues throughout the area.  She has directed and performed the music for more than one thousand events.

A highly accomplished classical violist and violinist, Rebecca is passionate about designing, producing and performing innovative classical chamber music programs that respond to social issues, promote healing, invite community involvement, and help build a sustainable healing landscape that invites personal transformation and empowerment.

In her role as a Certified Music Practitioner she provides one-on-one live therapeutic music sessions for patients.

In 2018, Rebecca performed at Buckingham Palace for an event hosted by Her Royal Highness The Princess Royal (Princess Anne) for the ASCENT Initiative launch, which is a combined partnership between the Acid Survivors Trust International and the Brigham and Women’s Hospital of Harvard Medical School.

In May 2016, Rebecca conceived and created the first annual “Harmony & Hope: Responding to Violence with Music” healing concert to support families of homicide victims. 


Since 2001, Rebecca has collaborated with photographer/author Susan Wilson as Melodic Vision, creating live multimedia performances and videos on contemporary social and cultural issues and world cultures. Rebecca is also one an original member of Shelter Music Boston, performing chamber music concerts in homeless shelters around Boston. 

An alumna of Oberlin Conservatory of Music, she has played with ensembles such as the Boston Pops Esplanade Orchestra, Boston Ballet Orchestra, Opera Boston, Boston Lyric Opera, and Monadnock Music Festival Orchestra.
