As founder, Music Director, and violist and violinist of Riverview Chamber Players, Rebecca Strauss has garnered acclaim as a seasoned musical event organizer and dedicated performer. From performing for the The Princess Royal, Princess Anne, at Buckingham Palace to sharing the stage with Led Zeppelin, Rebecca combines her impressive concertizing acumen with her vast experience in the event industry to deliver a seamless musical presentation for her clients. Overseeing chamber music for well over a thousand public and private events, Rebecca’s acute attention to detail and warmth make for an unforgettable experience for clients and guests.

She is passionate about designing, producing, and performing innovative music programs that respond to social justice issues, promote healing, invite community involvement, and help build a sustainable healing landscape that opens the door for personal transformation and empowerment.

In May 2016, Rebecca conceived and created the first annual “Harmony & Hope: Responding to Violence with Music,” an annual performance and community event to support families of homicide victims. The concerts remember and honor the lives of those lost to violence, and serve as a collective stand against gun and street violence.

In her role as Certified Music Practitioner, Rebecca performs therapeutic music sessions for patients who are ill or dying, those suffering from trauma, or anyone else in need of comfort.

She is on the faculty at Longy School of Music of Bard College and is an original member of Shelter Music Boston, performing chamber music concerts in homeless shelters around Boston. An alumna of Oberlin Conservatory of Music, she  has played with ensembles such as the Boston Pops Esplanade Orchestra, Boston Ballet Orchestra, Opera Boston, Boston Lyric Opera, and others.

Above all, Rebecca is known for her artistry and vision, exceptional organizational skills, and compassionate leadership style.
