Harmony & Hope: Responding to Violence with Music

Responding to Violence with Music

Tuesday, May 3, 2016

Arlington Street Church, Boston

9:00 AM - 9:00 PM

This ArtWeek Boston event will feature 12 hours of live classical chamber music, from 9:00 AM-9:00 PM, as a healing response to the increasing violence in our nation. A minute of silent reflection will take place each hour on the hour.

Guests are invited to come and go throughout the day and to leave messages of hope on site, in writing or short video clips. Free and open to the public.

After performance, the Harmony & Hope message board and videos will be used as public art for display at a public site. (Site TBD)

The first performance of the day will start with music for viola quartet, that's right, four violas! Here's a preview of what you'll hear.
